You may recall that the government went on an unlawful vendetta during the Obama administration against payday lenders and some 30 other lawful industries (e.g., tobacco and ammunition retailers) the government did not like by putting pressure on banks to decline to take care of the banking needs of these lawful businesses. This illicit campaign inflicted major economic damage on the targeted industries. I wrote several articles and testified before Congress in opposition to this unconstitutional abuse of power.
